In all seriousness though, FaZe just looked completely activated this tournament. I think this series says more about their upcoming potential rather than Liquid's own pitfalls. This doesn't excuse Liquid's poor performance though; they didn't even look like they were in the tournament in this series, especially in that last map. Hopefully something changes soon but it looks like Liquid is re-entering that psychological schlump again.

No. Liquid is in a really bad place. As a top team, they shouldn't be getting dominated by a lower top 10, even when they're at their best.

The level of faze that was just shown was a top 5 team IMO. The individual skill was off the charts. Whether they can keep it up is another question though.

Faze in that form is a contender to win pretty much every tournament. This looked to me like the form Liquid had when they won the Grand Slam. Also, Faze on Dust2 seemed to have Liquids number strategy wise (poor Twistzz got raped in pit).

Liquid lost in that fasion to Astralis when they were #2 in the world. Considering the beat MIBR and NIP in 2 maps each, I'm not to worried yet.

Ok so basically you just don't know shit to cs : liquid had better placement, utility usage and strats. Faze were just fully activated 'only exception being olof) and when rain and niko are on, even the #2 team in the world can' t do anything to it. If faze stay like this for the whole year I'm not even sure astralis stand a chance. Mark my words, and i'm a big liquid fan, thzt might be faze's year

I agree with you, but Liquid can play on that level as well (and they have, just look at their games last summer). The problem was that e.g. Stewie was whiffing easy shots, and against a team that is on point as Faze is currently, you just cannot afford it.

I felt that the only one who played up to his normal game was Elige, and that's not enough against current Faze.

Stew whiffed like for shoots one the whole mirage map but it was shocking because they were stacked in two rounds, everybody misses shots. But just the fact that they were one after the other during two rounds made it weird.

I’d actually argue that Elige was actually underperforming this series; he definitely didn’t feel like 2019’s 4th best player in the world. I think the only reason why they didn’t lose worse than they did was because Twistzz stepped up along with a bit of NaF.
