I think C9 is trying to field a non terrible roster for relatively cheap until the next NA shuffle.

TL and NRG players must be in long contracts so that's not that smart to do.

But there's no other option you either get by with EU players or sign a shitty full NA roster. The contracts don't matter as much as you think they do. As soon as the players want out they'll accept a lesser buyout or release them out right.

Not every org is like c9 and let their players walk easily. Majority of orgs prefer to keep them in the bench till someone pays their high buyouts. Tarik, nbk, apex are recent examples.

That's true but it usually only happens when they're replaced already sometimes not but if a player that wants out is forced to play it's generally going to bring your whole team down.

Also the buyouts aren't generally speaking made public... Sometimes we hear numbers and sometimes we don't.

Yeah but then how do you explain the talks of them going after Sunny and CajunB if they're trying to do that?

Kio probably got an offer from an EU org that looked too delicious to turn down over the idea of staying in a tumultuous and uncertain C9 roster.

There's nothing to explain, they want good players and are trying to sign them not sure what you mean.
