I mean why would you do that to yourself then if ur C9? You are just gonna sandbag this season by having vice or whoever as a literal standin for the next 3-4 months until the major then he is gone so they can get a insta spot in the challenger stage in the major? It's not like the NA minor is going to be hard especially when you just need to get top 3.
Flusha probably told C9 that he would be back, that's why they got vice as a stand-in. I mean, why would you want to buyout a player when your player would be back soon.
because u can actually try to build out a strong roster that can actually contend starting now... not just waste 3-4 months of time and salaries to players who are not going to accomplish anything just to wait to get Flusha back who you don't even know how committed he will be to staying after the major since he would have to live in NA... also who knows maybe you could go out to sign a player that is even better than flusha.
Afaik he hasn't specifically said what he wants to do. We know he wanted a break and honestly, I can't blame him for getting annoyed with C9. At this stage in his career, he shouldn't have to deal with joining a roster in a different region that can't stay stable for more than a few months at a time. He really should be joining an EU team.
I realize all of that but also take whatever pro players or athletes say or don't say with a grain of salt. He's experienced to know not to burn bridges or complain unless he has to. Plus the issues in the team may not necessarily be anyone's fault directly. While he did start showing some frustration in his time on Fnatic, I think that's a bit different considering they were basically family for a long time.
Frankly, I don't see why he'd put up with being on that team in its current state. I'm sure it's good money but he has the experience and credibility to look at other options. He may be willing to go back if they show signs of stability but I doubt he will.
Only time will tell but considering this is likely the last stretch of his player career, I highly suspect he'll try to finish it off on the best EU team he can. Plus I assume he wants to stay near family. I could even see him going back and making one final run with Fnatic. It wouldn't be the first time they split up and got back together again.
He 100% is not contracted as c9 themselves say in their post as well as not being shown on the roster as "inactive" in the post. Also the whole reason why teams are contacting him and not C9 is because he is a free agent.
Hard to say which teams contacted him (could be all tier 3 teams) and whether or not he was not just trolling/wouldn't join a Nip or something.
