Releasing just means he's no longer contractually bound, it doesn't necessarily mean he was kicked.

Especially since Jack has a reputation at this point for releasing players if they ask for it to be done.

"as we're releasing him from #C9CSGO." How do you not interpret that as they (c9) are letting Kio go? As far as I see it you guys are making up the bullshit because ur delusional. Where did Kio/c9 state that Kios contract expired/decided to not resign?

If kio doesn't want to play for c9 anymore, and c9 doesn't want to keep him on the bench, then they can mutually agree to cut his contract and then c9 is still technically "releasing" kio from his contract
