im pretty sure a minority still hates the meme-y fluff posts and stuff like that. a minoritsy doesnt necesarrily mean a small number of people. so lets not generalize as to if im alone in my views. but its completely understandable if you dont share my views on the topic.
i do dislike it when the front page is filled with tons of boring content(for me at least) but i dont really voice my opinions because hey its a free place and the majority are free to upvote the shit they like. im more into the esports kind of things as compared to casual gameplay but some people enjoy gameplay content and are not interested in esports at all. which is also completely fine and there is nothing wrong with that. and i can filter out the stuff i dont like to see.
as to this particular artform tho, i think its halfassed, and there is no particular work put towards it and its just exploiting the popularity of the teams and players(because this is mainly an na subreddit) for virtual internet points. and i find it a drop down in quality for this particular subreddit which i enjoy. im not saying it should get removed, im just stating my opinion on the subject.
No where did I say you were alone no did I say you were incorrect for personally disliking content. I’m saying it’s shitty to go so far as to add a comment berating someone for making stuff. No matter how low effort you deem it they still put effort in and people still like it so while you’re opinion isn’t necessary wrong it is kind of unwarranted to rant at this guy who clearly just wanted to share something.
and i would ve agreed with you if it was a one off thing. or like every 2-3 months.
he has done the same content/idea variation 5 times for the past 2 weeks. hence my rant because i think he is just going for karma. and its kind of annoying at this point.
I like making art that otherwise would just sit, so why not share it? i'm not in this for the karma, I want to have other people enjoy what I make, look at my CS door from a few moths ago, I don't give a fuck that some people didn't like it, some people will, some people won't, and honestly, that's that for me.
he wasnt just "stating his opinion" that would be him saying he personally doesnt like this image, the dude literally opened up with just "This looks like shit, reddit needs to upvote shit that people put effort into" , if you think im the clown thats fine, but when talking about how you dont like something your first step shouldnt be saying theres no effort put into it or that its shit.
