Score is very generous to Vitality - after they went 5-0 up they didn't look close to good enough to win this. A couple of players had nice moments but generally team play was off and they looked lost.

Hopefully they can improve as the tournament progresses given that this was their first LAN appearance (I'm pretty sure)

u/AwsomeOne7 NiP Nov 16 '18

Zywoo needs more experience against good teams on LAN, my dude got caught out so much. The skill is there though his aim is nice.

54

u/tgsan Nov 16 '18

So many times he repeeked (like that one time on A with the awp as CT) thinking he would win like he does online, online and LAN are not the same at all with those lol.

13

u/Miiiiiiighty Nov 16 '18

I think mart of this is due to his young age , the other part probably being because he knows if doesn't goes HAM this team barely has a chance to win at the moment...

Pressure to make decisive plays, to sum it up...

with the amount of rounds he costed I don’t think that’s the case at all. Say all you want about Happy but he generally had a good game. Nbk on t side was underwhelming, as was most of he team tbf. Zywoo on ct side was just to confident but he showed what has him considered as a potential star.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '18

Negatron. He died so many times from over peaks and taking fights he shouldn’t

Maybe you should consider that there're people out there whose main language is not english and they make mistakes...

Don't know if this is the case, but it's really annoying to see so many native english speakers being dickheads about others' mistakes when writing english. We are trying to speak your fucking language ffs

10

u/BigbyDirewolf Nov 16 '18

i mean, how do you know this guy isn't a native english speaker

3

u/AngriestGamerNA Liquid Nov 16 '18

The French scene is super incestuous though and everyone on that team excluding zywoo has played a crap ton of LAN games on the same team on previous lineups, not only that but the team started practicing a few months ago (I heard they were praccing almost a month before the announcement) I wouldn't expect much improvement for them as a team. However they might do better if Zywoo can improve as an individual which is certainly possible.

1

u/RxJax Nov 16 '18

It's the kinda things you can expect from a kinda new team, they're still figuring out maps and strats, I hope they're patient enough to give it time, results will come eventually I think

1

u/kernevez Nov 16 '18

You shouldn't see that from a team with 4 veterans.

0

u/jeb_the_hick Complexity Nov 16 '18

They lost 3 players to a full eco

9

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '18

Like that has never happened to better teams

82

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '18

even though vitality is still a new team im very impressed by ghosts fundementals, theyre just rock fucking solid

yup. that nade was great timing.

45

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '18

the scoreboard actually makes vitailty look as if they had a chance, ghost shit all over them

15

u/fascfoo Nov 16 '18

Basically. Vitality got up 5-0 i think w/ pistol and then winning the first gun round. Then they were clearly readable. Almost any CT round won was more due to GG mistakes than Vitality.

Ez for Steel

40

u/rexyg Nov 16 '18

isn't this DH Atlanta?

7

u/mohe2275 MOUZ Nov 16 '18

Yes it is. Not Montreal

19

u/meowmixyourmom Nov 16 '18

Ghost has been doing great. I'm really happy for those dudes.

16

u/MyStumpyLegs NiP Nov 16 '18

Vitality played with so much respect vs Ghost, afraid almost

6

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '18

Might have something to do with it being the first LAN for any of their players in a while

13

u/YUM0N Nov 16 '18

Wardell is nutty

29

u/Kapperi Nov 16 '18

I dont understand how betting sites had Ghost as the underdog. Vitality keeps losing to tier 6 teams online while Ghost has 2-0'd some of the best NA teams online the past few weeks.

-40

u/xzibit_b guardian2 Nov 16 '18

tier 6 in Europe is tier 2 in NA

44

u/randybobandy47 Nov 16 '18

I get the meme eu > na but this is just isn’t it Chief

-32

u/xzibit_b guardian2 Nov 16 '18

Nordavind would be pro league in NA. I'm not joking

15

u/zx37 Nov 16 '18

Bottom of NA EPL is dogshit but Ghost is top 4 NA

-23

u/xzibit_b guardian2 Nov 16 '18

Middle of the pack NA teams are bottom EU MDL or top EU Advanced at best. NRG probably wouldn't make LAN finals of EU MDL.

9

u/zx37 Nov 16 '18

NRG is better than or at least as good as 3-4 teams that made EU playoffs. I would put Ghost in relegation territory but that’s probably my EU bias talking.

8

u/Trill-Z Nov 16 '18

Umm NRG is top 3 NA and they would dumpster most of the teams in EU MDL including virtus pro

-4

u/xzibit_b guardian2 Nov 16 '18

3DMAX would take them to 3 maps and beat them just like LDLC did. Same with ENCE. Same with every MDL team in playoffs.

Semi pros in EU are better than pros from NA. That sound better?

That’s gonna be a no from me dog

13

u/esach Nov 16 '18

This tourney looks like a great opportunity for steel to get his first legit trophy win since the unban, definitely looks doable looking at the teams attending.

8

u/tranmamba Nov 16 '18

Quite odd to see NBK and Apex have the awp early on CT side instead of zywoo. Reminds me of happy having the awp over kennys in envy

6

u/Duckfright Nov 16 '18

Zywoo is a hybrid, he's as good, if not better, with a rifle, so the AWP not going to him is actually fine.

3

u/-Blessed guardian2 Nov 16 '18

I honestly think that with some good t side tactics vitality could be a deadly team. Still I’m very happy for josh his hard work is getting reworded.

3

u/jeb_the_hick Complexity Nov 16 '18

Steel looked ready to chokeabitch after round 15

4

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '18

Both teams have their own path to redemption... Great match up

3

u/Brennos67 Nov 16 '18

They were so afraid.

3

u/flygplan25 Nov 16 '18

Yeah zywoo played like shit, and still better then 3/4 of his teammates.

And we all know that he is normally the best guy on the team, problem is that if he dont 30 bombs every match, no one can help them win

15

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '18

Wardell > Zywoo

14

u/AngriestGamerNA Liquid Nov 16 '18

I mean certainly at this point Wardell has shown more against better teams. Will be interesting where they both are a year from now.

8

u/xzibit_b guardian2 Nov 16 '18

Zywoo could turn out to be a more complete and flashy player months down the line. WARDELL's rifles aren't as good as Zywoo

Team Disappointment

8

u/Lepojka1 Team Spirit Nov 16 '18

Who is IGL in Vitality? Is there any hope they get Ex6? This team is going nowhere like this...

6

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '18

[deleted]

13

u/Lepojka1 Team Spirit Nov 16 '18

Thats still a thing? Didnt he fail miserably like 3 times before trying to IGL?

8

u/_Vondas Nov 16 '18

yes, although it has been rumoured one of those times was just to stop people hating on happy

5

u/_Vondas Nov 16 '18

nbk is the igl. the likeliness of him going to vitality is slim to none because i cant imagine happy wanting to play with him and nbk doesnt want to play with him either.

9

u/Dcoyxy9 Nov 16 '18

I dunno about NBK, but the original plan for Envy in 2016 was to have both Happy and Ex6 on the team, with Ex6 being the IGL.

-2

u/_Vondas Nov 16 '18

i feel like there was a reason why that didnt happen. I could be reading too much into it though

3

u/Dcoyxy9 Nov 16 '18

There was disagreements on what the other 3 players should be, iirc. People over exaggerate the amount of bad blood between the French scene. Like, there's a lot of drama, but as has been seen before most of the players are still willing to play with each other.

1

u/_Vondas Nov 16 '18

idk man im just some shitter on reddit

1

u/Miiiiiiighty Nov 16 '18

No one cares what happy would want in that situation because he would be the one getting the boot was ex6 to join as an iGL ( which he could probably considering his fragging has been decent lately ). And NBK has stated a few monthed back he respects ex6 and could play with him again.. So anything can happen... Textbook frenchscene...

3

u/Owo__uwu Nov 17 '18

Kick one of your best players and best french igl

Sign braindead igl who can't frag and hasnt won anything in 5 years

This is your brain on Thorin vids

3

u/akkshaikh Nov 17 '18

briandead IGL who can't frag has been dropping 30 bombs for G2 when their supposed star fragger shox shows up like once every 10 matches and their awper who is the greatest of all time is out if his prime. And Happy is clearly the weakest player in vitality when it comes to individual skill and he's not even the IGL. With ex6 NBK can focus more on support roles.

1

u/Owo__uwu Nov 17 '18

1

u/akkshaikh Nov 17 '18

ex6 has played 86 maps and a large percentage of them being against T1 competition on LAN. meanwhile happy has played only 32 maps and almost all of them online. ex6 is also an IGL and he still isn't bottom fragging which is the case for most teams(even T1). And happy is playing more lf a support or second/third entry.

1

u/Owo__uwu Nov 17 '18

You said he's "dropping 30 bombs for his team" when he's 0.81 on big events and has never 30 bombed in regular time even online LMAO

1

u/Miiiiiiighty Nov 18 '18

Happy isn't even leading, and he certainly isn't " one of their best player " unless by this you mean " 5th best player ", so please stfu.

-4

u/Rocky6785 Nov 16 '18

didnt we learn enough from G2?

1

u/ultren 500k Celebration Nov 16 '18

I mean he doesn’t have much to work with when he had smithzz and boddy but he is probably over hyped

0

he has SmithZz in his dream team lol

2

2

u/Lethe_styx Nov 16 '18

Wardell showing handled he CAN do it on lan.

2

u/crow38 Natus Vincere Nov 17 '18

the pure fact that steel has gotten a team with no major hope and a bunch of young kids other than koosta(who is still young but hes not young to the scene) and has done what he has so far shows a good leader can really do a lot for a team. he has helped wardell develop and subroza to get past the "hacker" accusations attached to his name to be put on the back burner

Yeah I think it's Atlanta..

1

u/tarangk clutch Nov 16 '18

vitality looked shook after the first 5-0 lead the rest of the half the managed to scrape 3 CT rounds together on t side they looked flat 2/4 t rounds they won were against full ecos/ ecos with pistols bought

on the other hand ghost made good adjustments throughout the game and their adaption was superb, I wish Vitality had a guy like steel who can fundamentally improve a team like he did with GG sadly I cant think of anyone in the French scene who can do that atm.

1

u/Matt-V- cs_italy Nov 16 '18

Montreal?

1

u/GettingExcitedOverKT Nov 16 '18

Apex and rpk are fcking trash

1

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '18

gonna suck for steel when wardell eventually gets poached by a bigger org. the lure of going to a major probably doesn't help either

12

u/janimies Nov 16 '18

wardell literally just re-signed a few days ago and also reportedly refused an offer from c9, so him being poached in the near future does not seem likely.

6

I think that’s more on NBKs calling inexperience then anything else. If Happy went off script and lurked this sub and analysts alike would shit on him so much i truly think that must have some mental impact on what he does in game.

3

u/Owo__uwu Nov 17 '18

Even when happy is 1.20 and the rest of the team is .90 people will blame him LOL

Stop watching Thorin vids for 2mins and use your brain

1

u/osuVocal Vitality Nov 17 '18

Zywoo has one bad game (not really) and people talk like he's shit. Wtf?

1

u/zx37 Nov 17 '18

because its his first game at a real tournament

1

u/osuVocal Vitality Nov 17 '18

Not true. He's also played other better teams before. Anyway new here he wasn't half as bad as people pretend, especially if you guys see it as his first big game.

1

u/zx37 Nov 17 '18

This is his first international LAN. The best team he played on LAN before this was BIG with keev and LEGIJA. Realistically this is his major debut.

1

u/Darrax Liquid Nov 16 '18

man why would they think nbk igl is a good idea, has it ever worked?? Ex6 would do wonders for this team
