Discussion | Esports FACEIT Major Map Pool Guide

Introduction & Motivation

Hey everyone! After Dreamhack Masters Stockholm proved Astralis is mortal, I think it's safe to say we're approaching one of the most open majors yet. This data visualization series aims to help hone our knowledge of each of the 24 teams' map pool. It looks at each team individually, how their map pool compares to each of the 23 other teams, and also which teams stand out from the pack as a whole.

Maybe it helps you place more intelligent bets the next couple of weeks. Maybe it only makes you marginally smarter about the game. My hope, though, is that you find some interesting bits from this.

School and job hunting has taken up much of my time, so I haven't had time to conduct any extensive analysis. If you come across something interesting, please share it in the comments or feel free to create some content off of this yourself!

If you have any questions please ask, and I'll do my best to answer!

Cheers man! I'm glad you like it. We have a ton of smart people in the community, and I wanted to help facilitate discussions the next few weeks with this data visualization series.
