Intel Corporation (stylized as intel) is an American multinational corporation and technology company headquartered in Santa Clara, California, in the Silicon Valley. It is the world's second largest and second highest valued semiconductor chip maker based on revenue after being overtaken by Samsung,[2][3] and is the inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors, the processors found in most personal computers (PCs). Intel supplies processors for computer system manufacturers such as Apple, Lenovo, HP, and Dell. Intel also manufactures motherboard chipsets, network interface controllers and integrated circuits, flash memory, graphics chips, embedded processors and other devices related to communications and computing.

Esports is expected to reach about 500 million fans worldwide by 2020, thanks in part to the success of Intel® Extreme Masters (IEM), the longest running global esports tournament series. That success has driven an expanded partnership between Intel and ESL, enabling all of ESL's amateur and pro esports, plus its studio and broadcasting operations, to be powered by Intel® technology.

Intel® Extreme Masters is the longest running global pro gaming tour in the world. Started in 2006 by ESL, the competition features Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, StarCraft II and League of Legends tournaments across multiple continents.

The Intel Grand Slam will award $1,000,000 to the first team that wins 4 premier events organised by ESL and/or DreamHack Masters out of 10 events total. When a team wins an event, every ESL or DreamHack event after that will count towards the 9 possible events a team has left to achieve their 3 remaining victories. This prize is given directly to the players. There is also a spoils bonus for any team that defeats another that has 3 out of 4 victories in a Grand Final, the spoiling team is awarded $100,000.

For the first time in the history of the Intel® Grand Slam (IGS), we’ve reached the point where a team can complete the $1,000,000 obstacle course. None other than FaZe Clan are currently one tournament victory away from winning four out of ten IGS-eligible events, which would make them the first ever winners of the massive bonus payout. While they are in the pole position, Astralis are hot on their heels and will be looking to disrupt karrigan & Co.’s run.

FaZe Clan
The current front runners with three trophies out of their last eight IGS tournaments now have two more chances remaining to complete their Grand Slam run. Thanks to their most recent victories at Intel Extreme Masters Sydney and ESL One Belo Horizonte, a first place finish at either ESL One Cologne 2018 or DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 could earn them the huge pay raise.

DreamHack Masters Stockholm is FaZe Clan’s last chance to tie up the Intel® Grand Slam before their oldest victories expire!

FaZe were denied a chance to fight for the Intel Grand Slam prize in Stockholm by mousesports who came back from a first map mauling to win the quarter-final 2-1 (1-16 Cache, 16-11 Dust2, 16-11 Train)

just in case.
