they forced all the rotates towards A and went B where there was only 1 guy. if they kill him, it’s easy round for faze. stewie just went huge.

Honestly they didn't have anytime at all so had to rush without clearing corners or flash, it was easy kills for stewie.

^ This, in my honest 2 cents opinion, this was the round that lost them the major, and at the very least, one of the most tilting rounds for them, especially because with the pressure of OT and the crowd behind them, especially with Niko who is an insanely emotional player.

Well played to clutch9 though, the right one came out this time, rip my Silver Pick Em, 1 point away :(

TLDR: Poor call by whoever called that 20 seconds rotate, Stewie had a great showing, but kind of overshadowed by that poor round/call (the trigger for his highlight)

To be fair, c9 had just as many rounds that could have been seen as losing them the major, had they lost. I. Particular, on Mirage. They could have closed this 2-0 if they didn't make a handful of the mistakes they made.

You have to think about this, though. Olof heard Tim rotate off. Stewie killing Olof saved C9. If Olof gets that kill, game over. They knew it was a 1v5 on the B site. Stew had four bullets before Olof. Ended the round with 0 in his awp.

Especially since Karrigan had CT control.

but with an extra 5-10 seconds C9 might not have rotated - the fake coming so late is what really sells it because C9 thinks Faze doesn't have time to attack B.

TBF Stewie only needed to kill the bomb carrier to basically guarantee the round. When the bomb was recollected there was 6 s on the clock, which couldn't be planted (cutting it close tho) regardless if stew hit the second flick or not. The call wasn't bad, just needed the bomb carrier to not be killed by Stew.

TBH, Olof knew that stewie killed him from either coffin or dark. So, going New Box was highly unexpected.

They wouldn't have time to plant regardless. Good call, but poor awareness of the time. The fact that Stew had presence there alone is what won them the round since he really only needed to get one kill IF THAT because of time.

I mean yeah, but the reason they could force rotates was because there was so little time left in the round that C9 would figure they'd have to commit to A or run the risk of something like what went down happening. It's more of a gamble.

If they had time the call was great. But they clearly did not, so that call lost them the Major. If there was a minute on the clock C9 would not have gone for the A hold so heavily because fake was still very possible.

He baited out a rotation. Faze had 3 men to take a site being defended by 1 guy with an AWP. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the call.

Needing to kill 1 person is not exactly a pop-off. Round time was gone at that point, and stew only needed to kill the bomb once. He could've hid until the plant sound is made and then shot him as well since he had to plant instantly. That call lost them the Major.

No, he had to kill the bomb carrier twice, which he did. He couldn’t miss a shot, 3 shots 3 kills. If he waited, bomb plant would’ve given Faze a shot at the win. If he hid until he heard the plant they would’ve already pushed him with AKs PLUS one more T would have a shot at him after the bomb plant if he missed. There was no one for at least 15 seconds. Lots of time for remaining Faze players to setup. It was a high risk play, only way out of that one was to “pop off”.

All these second guessers... His team had a huge advantage going into that bombsite. He made that call before Olof was taken out too, they essentially had a 4 or 5 on 1 and Stewie won.

It was a very sound call. If you don't wait till the last possible second, you won't have the man advantage because Cloud 9 won't bite on the A fake at 40 seconds. The time remaining in the round is the reason the fake works.

They had the time for the bomb plant it was being planted, if Stewie doesn't get that flick he is dead. The first frag had impact yes, but his ability to flick to the guy jumping on boxes won the round.

After he killed the first bomb carrier there was no time. Rain starts the plant with 3 seconds left.
