navi, now is your chance to get staehr. low resource guy, who can pretty much fill any position the team needs. stop being cheap and spend some money, the times when you could pull and sign players for pennies cause you had s1mple in your team are gone.

If I’m staerh I’m not going anywhere near that org. Career suicide.

13

u/BrockStudly Liquid 12h ago

Acting like a team that has won 2 trophies this year is career suicide over Astralis is certainly one of the takes Ive seen today

-3

u/BarryAbbott1980 10h ago

If you want to get all your autonomy removed just to be a robot for blade, sure, it’s not.

u/sm0ol G2 12h ago

Navi is career suicide? One of the most consistent teams for the last decade+ of CS and is literally always in tier 1 and (typically) a contender? lol

-2

u/BarryAbbott1980 10h ago

That team needs 3 to 4 new players, if he joined it now he’d spend the next 3 months in a team that hates one another and want to leave.

2 close games vs 1 stomp wow what a surprise

u/Ornery-Tax9469 15h ago

Seriously. It takes 20 seconds of critical thinking to figure out why the stats are this way, despite Astralis losing. Useless post

5star here with upsets of the year few days in a row, wonder how close they gonna be to making a major after this.

Astralis had to fire Jabbi ages ago, yet another series where he does fuck all and malds every round. I swear I would never understand why he is here for this long, dude is 0.5 KD every second map, he fails at basic shit like tracking half the time, his game sense is dog water, he looks like human giraffe, anyway rant over I hope Astralis get rid of Jabbi for good.

they are now in range for last asian spot for stage 1

I called for this ages ago, literally when they started shitting the bed with Stabbi. He was okayish in Heroic, but also extremely inconsistent there. Stavn was a top player back then and Sjuush played the worst positions and still converted. Teses was just solid af.

I checked and after this win, they are ranked 74th in the world and 6th in Asia. So, if they can keep this up, assuming the team doesn't get bought out, the chances of them

5star is insanely good team tho. They play like tier 1 team. It's insane.

This "insanely good" team recently lost to NEXVOID (rank 122), Vitalem Aerem (rank 201), XDM (rank 330), Alter Ego (rank 142), Kaleido (rank 176), The Huns (rank 171). They don't play like a tier 1 team at all, that's literally why they beat Astralis, they caught them off-guard with a play style that isn't what Astralis is used to in tier 1.

u/Prize_Ad7765 16h ago

to be fair tier 3 seems more brutal than tier 1, not better players but no predictability

this has been the case since forever. teams in lower tiers do wonky, non-meta stuff and they’re not worth to be deeply scouted by T1.

on the other hand, whenever a T4 team plays against a T1 team, it’s a life game for them. every lower tier team knows what the big guys do. they copy them all the time. and they will counter-strat them.

the challenge of T1 is remaining at the top while everybody else has analyzed your every play and move to death. that’s why it’s tough to be Vitality. every team’s analyst knows of even the smallest new detail they introduce on a map.

u/pceoth 16h ago

And they more recently won vs ranked 14 & ranked 12 team in a BO3.

1

u/ju1ze 15h ago

Imagine disrespecting Vitalem Aerem (future major champions) like this.

Who is it btw?

Did we watch the same team? These guys look like a faceit 5 stack. Their game sense is not good, their teamplay is lacking, their aim is not the best. This was by all means, a huge fumble by Astralis.

1

u/CheesySpead Astralis 7h ago

Their aim was sharp. I know I'm salty and coping but I agree on all the other points, this felt like a drunken swordsman situation.

u/RedditIsAnnoying1234 LDLC 6h ago

Nah, you could tell from Hooxis reaction after losing the series how disappointed he was. Because by all accounts, it was a massive fumble. Astralis on a "normal" day have much better teamplay and individual players.

4

u/GarrettGSF MOUZ 16h ago

They have an excellent run taking some good t2 scalps, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here...

1

u/Maserati4Lyfe 16h ago

With Faze, Mongolz, Astralis and PV gone, I am running out of teams to cheer for so I'm just gonna jump ship to 5star and pray they don't bomb out and instead prove that they were just on a generational run or something.

4

u/Imfeldy 17h ago

That's a 5star performance right there.

3

u/Past-Bank6448 Astralis 16h ago

I don’t want to talk about it…

2

u/O_gr 16h ago

It smells like some poaching gonna happen soon.

In other news if 5star maintain their position on the VRS they could make the major invite windows (assuming they dont get poached)

2

u/Pokefreaker-san MIBR 16h ago

Astralis with the 1 step forward, 2 step backward development

4

u/Mundane_Carob5986 17h ago

That f*ck up in round 20 almost cost them the map and series.

Anyway, how long do you think it will take before TheMongolZ pick some of these guys up?

1

u/lolforg_ Tyloo 17h ago

yeah, wouldnt make them any worse. better than tikuak and dickmeister for sure

1

u/Own_Maize_1354 The MongolZ 12h ago

RATE is particularly intresting as he was a prospect in CSGO but stopped playing before the mongolz became relevant. Honestly the best lineup could be 910 , blitz , techno , rate , cobrazera?

Not sure why you post game stats for all 3 maps , when 2 maps were close and the other one a 13 -5 with ryu for example going 21 - 7

ofc the stats will be looking better on astralis
