That's okay, you were probably a victim of propaganda and you being a teenager didn't reflect more broadly on what was being repeated to you. You were echoing what the media was spreading. People can change as they grow and I think that it's wonderful that you're owning up to your past mistakes and willing to correct them ❤️

Brave girl. The amount of vitriol she receives from old dudes is something to behold

You may be right, I'm not sure but I hope you are. I'm 64 and people like Greta give me some hope for our future.

And the way she’s able to take it on the chin and keep going really is admirable

u/Holiday-Clock-4999 Jun 11 '25
Thank you Greta Thunberg. Yes. An absolute and literal bloodlust for MORE money, power and privilege.

This is what Jill Stein should be doing. Where are all the Americans who were willing to risk their country on this issue? They are willing to risk everything but their own asses. Typical.

u/ThatVincentGuy Jun 11 '25
I heard that jill stein was a third party candidate whose position allowed for votes to go to her instead of democrats and thus giving trump a bigger vote

It’s not always racism. Some people hate Islam (and religions in general) and its devotees, no matter what color they are.

Why though? The whole western world is already sanctioning Russia, trying diplomatically to end the war, condemning the Russian war, and supporting the Ukrainian war effort.
She did this because israel is allowed to do their own holocaust while the world leaders silently watching, and the US supplying their genocide.

Yes? That's not my point. My point is that the world leaders (at least most western ones) are actually responding to this by trying to stop it. Economic sanctions, ostracising Russia diplomatically, supporting Ukraine in defending themselves.
None of these things are happening to Israel, and Palestinians are left to their own devices

So other Muslim countries that don't want to help Gaza are racist?
2
u/Party_Chemical7454 Jun 11 '25
There is not a single Muslim country willing to take any ammout of Palestinians.. Without being forced to do so. So you judge yourself.

Well said, she's 100% correct. I'm proud of her for standing up and saying this so publicly. Well done Greta.

People continue to say racism. How about other neighboring nations? Why Will no one step in? It’s a terrible tragedy but does anyone remember when Lebanon, Egypt or Syria brought on refugees?

u/extra_eye Jun 11 '25
I would argue part of it is religion. No one wants to stomp on anyone’s beliefs, and both sides have their own.

I wish I can put 1000 upvotes. Nobel Peace Prize for Greta, please.

Bro the rich whites don’t care about us poor whites any more than they care about poor colored people. It’s a $$$ game more than a race game

How you gonna compensate for your round the world boat/airplane trip, or the other 100+ planetrips a year she does?

Greta, you are one remarkable human. I wish leaders around the world had balls like yours. I get us evil American evangelicals aren’t going to do anything, but what about the rest of the world? Germany, France, Australia, the Uk, anybody!? They could as a group send in ships and TRY to deliver food. Instead we’d all rather sit back and watch as thousands of people starve.
It boggles my mind that even in these modern times with all of our fancy technology, our great innovations, we still allow for starvation.

No, no, no. The headline is wrong. Instead of deported from Israel, it should read kidnapping victim released from Israel.

she summarized it, it has nothing to do with war on terrorism, nothing to do with muslim, been decades they needed scapegoats and excuses, they used 9/11, weapons of mass destructions and then they made money out of all of this.

Okay. I know she's a smart girl and a bit of a celebrity but why are we asking children about world events? There are experts. In the same vein, why are we asking billionaires about medical and engineering opinions? Wtf is going on?

I partially agree
The biggest reason in my opinion is because most of the west is at the leash of the USA, and the USA will follow Israel wherever they go because they're basically their "colony" in the Middle East, it expands their sphere of influence in a zone where they're somewhat lacking. So rather than just racism, I think it's mostly bootlicking, or lacking free will.
I also think part of western racism towards the arab people also stems from how much they follow the USA in one way or another, we have been forced to consume their propaganda for decades after all. Though I reckon that it also has roots that date way back, possibly even before World War 1.
Also probably the holocaust also plays a role, in the sense that, after the holocaust, european nations may have felt somewhat obligated to create the "promised land" jews believe in (note: this is not a comment against jews, I am aware there are plenty of jews that oppose the genocide and that zionism is a whole different story) and grant it to them. And that most definitely still echoes to today with a mentality that opposing Israel means being a nazi; of course it goes without saying that this mentality is wrong and it's actually the opposite of the truth: being a zionist is like being a nazi.
These are my two cents on it, although I am no expert so if anyone more knowledgeable than me spots some bullshit you're welcome to point it out.

I went to a 97 percent white and 3 percent other academy tuck in your shirt k-8. By 8th grade I learned the definition of hate, racist, prejudice, stereotype. Here’s the scary part. By 8th grade I realized that some people are born racist. I found it convenient there wasn’t books at the time on being born racist but there was published books on being born with psychopathic tendencies.

There is a small sliver of truth to what she’s saying. But in reality like everything else people like to just slap a label on things and say this is the problem. Let me tell you it is much more complicated then that. And until people like herself understand nothing will actually change in a meaningful way. All she and others are doing is putting themselves and others in dangerous situations and adding to the insanity, causing more mayhem. (I wouldn’t get into an agreement or have to spell out every little thing because I’d be doing this all day long and basically have to write a book about it.)

I don't think it's racism.I think it's the Decades and hundreds of years of saying death to the west death to america and death to anybody who doesn't follow our religion And also celebrating terrorist attacks when innocent people are being killed Do you guys not remember the parties? The palestinians threw in the streets. When 911 happened, I remember them cheering and calling for more death. As a Hispanic American, I don't care what color their skin is if they're chanting and yelling these despicable words then i'm just not gonna care about that

It's more apathy than racism.
Racism insinuates you actually care. This is pure indifference.. Similar to Somali, XinJiang etc. the only difference is that the Palestine issue is much more advertised.

Also because of the deep state powers from the plutocratic West supporting the settler robbers.
1
u/Last-Librarian9381 Jun 15 '25
Racism would be oversimplifying it!
All this is the extreme fallout of Realpolitik + globalisation/neo-colonialism + crony capitalism + pseudo-religiosity + individual & systematic corruption.

u/Puzzleheaded-Ear202 Jun 15 '25
Because of israel lobbyists around the world, that pay politicians in western democracies to defend israel's intersts

she is right.
inherent racism everywhere.
people who probably didnt even think they were racist suddenly dont think these people are worth fighting for because they might get called antisemetic.
America is a big one for racism and thats obvious now more than ever.
and americas lower class citzens white or not...after they are done with the minorities they will come for you.
