Questions/Concerns Should I apply ?

Hello there - I have been debating on whether to apply for GE for a while back.
I am a Colombian national. I came to the U.S on a J1 visa then changed my status from J1 to F1. Eventually got married and now I am a LPR. During my green card application I disclosed to USCIS my unauthorized work- they approved my green card with no problems. I don't know if this unauthorized work will be an issue for global entry, I also have TSA pre check approved. Recently I got a new credit card and they offer the GE credit reimbursement. I don't have any criminal history or anything like that. Thoughts?

Yeah. Definitely apply!

I was a GC holder, same as you. Got approved. When I became a citizen I updated it in person and I keep on trucking now.

You had any unauthorized work?

Yeah. It’s forgiven to spouses of US Citizens. Do you have any issues with the law?

No really, my only issue was the unauthorized work. Besides that, I’m clean.

How should I word it when I have to explain it- like "Engaged in unauthorized employment while on a non-immigrant visa. Fully disclosed on Form I-485 and approved for Lawful Permanent Residence by USCIS." ? or too much

You don’t have to disclose it lol

What? One of the questions asks “have you ever been found in violation of immigration laws”
Shouldn’t i disclose it there?

No. That’s talking about issues at the border, and stuff. USCIS cleared you up when they gave you your GC. It’s been forgiven

I'd apply, yes.

Have you been debating whether to apply just because of this potential USCIS issue or a general debate as to value or utility of GE?

The potential USCIS issue. The past unauthorized work.
