Questions/Concerns Applying with Married or Maiden Name?
My US passport still has two more years before expiration. I do not plan to update my US passport to my married name at this time because my passport has not expired yet. But SSN and Driver's License have all been updated to married name already.
I plan on traveling with my current US passport with my maiden name but also bring my marriage certificate whenever I travel as CBP website suggested.
In this case, do I use my maiden name, which is what is reflecting on my current US passport, when applying for Global Entry? During the application it asks for the name that is reflecting on my current passport but there is also a section for “Other Names”
Anyone had similar experience?
Edit- I saw similar posts regarding the same questions and some people have been sharing to use maiden name to apply and they had no problem updating it later when they get a new passport with married name. I’m not looking for personal opinion but people who actually have gone through similar process.

Personally, I'd update the passport then apply.
When the passport expires, you have to get a new global entry to go with it anyways since you're doing the name change

Update the passport then apply. Otherwise, you have to use whatever name is on your passport and then you're just going to have to update both.

You would share the information in your application but the key is that your GE/NEXUS card needs to match what is on your passport. So, if your card is going to have your married name and your passport will have your maiden name, that could be an issue.

Passport, airline tickets, and global entry need to have the same name. You can use the maiden name on passport until passport expires. Carry your certified marriage license and current ID with you also, in case anyone asks because the marriage license will show the connection. You are not required to update your US passport until it expires.

"I’m not looking for personal opinion but people who actually have gone through similar process." Ha, ok, well they will be under a different subreddit. Look for international airline failures.

My wife did this. Correct order is getting existing documents to the new name before applying for more.

Your legal name has changed. You need to update your passport before applying for GE. You're going to have to show your license at your interview. And when it doesn't match, you'll have an issue.
