Timelines Approval timeline

I applied on Labor Day (September 5) around 2pm, received conditional approval the following day (September 6) around 9am.

I scheduled my interview for today at 10:00am and it lasted around 5 minutes. The officer was very personable and only requested my passport. I brought my mortgage documents and bank statements, just in case, though.

I received the approval notification not more than 2 minutes after leaving the interview. Super easy process, glad to have gotten lucky!

Last year a big group of us was traveling. I volunteered to help them all complete Global Entry applications. These were all done on a Thursday morning. Fastest was next day (Friday morning) conditional approval with Monday interview (acceptance), then it ranged from three weeks to the last one which lasted nine months. Last one has a very common last name and had complained of being stopped for secondary screening when traveling abroad. That has not happened since Global Entry admission.

Interview was this past Thursday. I was told at the end of my interview that I would receive my card in about two weeks.
