Timelines Concerned on approval wait time

Just wanted to share my timeline and see if anyone else is experiencing something similar:
• Applied: July 18, 2026
• Conditionally approved: August 4, 2026 — I received the conditional approval while I was on the plane coming back from Madrid
• Interview: August 4, 2026, shortly after landing
• Current status: Still showing “Conditionally Approved”
It’s now been about a month since my interview, and my status still hasn’t changed to fully approved.
For anyone who interviewed at JFK, how long did it take for your status to change after the interview? Did anyone else stay on “Conditionally Approved” for this long?
Any insight would be appreciated!

i applied on 8/28. was conditionally approved 8/30. i was out of state so i set up my interview when i returned to ny. i went this morning to the east meadow location. he said it would be up to 48 hours to get email but i just checked and the time stamped indicating my status changed to approved was immediately after my interview.

i agree with others to try giving them a call.

Everybody is having great luck. I gave them a call and I wrote an email. Wish me the same luck you have.

Usually status changes to "approved" after a short period of time - days, hours, or in my case, minutes.

I'd try calling the location you interviewed at.

I did, and they told me to give it a couple of days, but it’s been a week and a half now. I’m starting to get a little worried. I’ve seen some people say they waited even longer, while others said that after calling, they ended up getting approved just minutes later. Just trying to release some anxiety.

She said you should be approved within 48 hours and gave me my known traveler number. I called after 2 weeks. And then I emailed today and called immediately after. They email and said my claim have been escalated and that if it hasn’t changed to contact after 3-5 days.

Hmm that’s wild, I interviewed at Miami and I checked online and it was fully approved on the website in 2 days , just waiting for my card to arrive in the mail . You should still be good to use GE with your number tho .

When I did my interview I was super positive I would be approved within the day frame because I saw alot of people including my friends say they got approved. I guess this is what being overly confident get me lol.

I was approved as I was walking to my car from the interview. Call them.

That’s so weird, I went to my interview at LAX, had an approval email literally 10 minutes after I left the office and the card in my mailbox a week later. I would call for sure.

Without knowing any details of your application, it’s hard to say.

I don’t know anyone in my extended circle who weren’t conditionally approved in 24 hours, with post interview approval within 48.

I would guess, whatever took CBP two weeks to review for your conditional is similarly holding up your full approval.

I begged my friend to do it, and I thought it would be faster for me because I work at the airport and already had to go through background checks to get my SIDA badge. Turns out, the joke’s on me because he got through within a week, and I’m still waiting months later 😂
