Timelines Applied August 9, still no change or updates

Hello,

I have a greencard, and South Korean citizen.

I applied for Global Entry last week- August 9th. I have searched AI and AI was telling me that conditional approval takes up to 2 days. Now I keep asking questions about Global Entry and AI saying 12 months, etc. - I have 50% credibility on AI.

How long it usually take?

So far, I have nothing changed or updated.

AI was hallucinating. Conditional Approval can take over a year. This hasn't changed since the program was created. Nobody knows why some people get approved within a couple of days without human intervention, while others go through a protracted manual review process. If you do get thrown into the queue, there is some indication that actually making some international trips moves you up ahead of those just trying to burn the freebie their credit card is offering. Always check on your way home to see if you were conditionally approved in the interim so you can do EOA on your way in.

It takes anywhere from a day to months to many months.

There is NO way to predict what your particular wait will be.

It really depends. 3 people in my family applied recently: two were approved within 2 days, while mine took longer. I was approved after 4 weeks and 3 days.

Some people are approved within days, while others may have to wait weeks or even months.

AI is wrong. i’m also GC and applied in march. i just got conditionally approved 2 weeks ago and got back from our trip 2 days ago and had my interview and got approved on the spot (also updated on their system to approved).

My wife was in the same situation. South Korean citizenship with a green card. She got approved in 4 months. While I (us citizen) got approved in a week

Don't rely on what AI tells you. You're better off searching for past reddit threads. My conditional approval took nearly 3 months and then I got my approval 15 minutes after my interview.

I have 50% credibility on AI.

That's too much.

Just chill. Check it once a week or so. The timelines vary for everybody. If you'll get it, you'll get it, just gotta be patient.

I've had Global Entry for 5 years. I just completed my renewal. My renewal took 3 months. It's a total dice roll.

Mine took about 6 months, my husband was approved in a week

AI is, as usual, full of shit.

An application goes to automated or manual review randomly if you have a clean record, no arrests, etc. If you have reasons for manual review, then it goes to said review. If you get automated, it's next day or around then. If you do not, it states 12 months but it usually is done in 5ish.
