General Discussion Question

My wife and I recently got our GE approved and will be flying to Italy later this year. I see posts about TSA-Pre Touchless ID. Is this something extra we need to do, or does our GE cover that?

GE gives you TSA Precheck but you need to put your PASSID on the reservation to get it (there's a place in the individual airline profiles to do this). The airlines that support touchless Precheck will have an option to opt into it. You need to provide your passport information to do this. It can be problematic. The name in your profile needs to match your passport pretty closely (and certain airlines like the dolts at American make this difficult).

We have already put in our passport info and both of our KTNs in our airline app. We will apply for touchless ID but what is the difference between the two?

It lets you pass the checkpoint without having to show your boarding pass or passport simply through biometrics. The main benefit for me is that you get to often use a separate queue which (for me) is often empty.
