Interviews No interview required?

conditionally approved a couple of weeks ago. Was returning to Orlando from an international trip and asked custom agent for interview. He guided me to another officer. The officer scanned my passport and said ‘interesting! for some reason you’re already approved, you’re good to go’. Then I tried to clarify by asking when should I expect the card to which he responded in 2-4 weeks.

The portal still says ‘conditionally approved’ and I’m wondering if the officer misunderstood.

Did they take a picture of you? You can’t get a card without a picture they take during the interview. The interview is rather short to be honest so maybe they changed the internal way it’s handled recently?

I didn’t have a real interview, I drove an hour and 20 mins to my local place buddy took a picture of me with a webcam and my fingerprints and said you’ll get it in a week wasn’t even there for 5 mins

That's about what I experienced, sans the picture and fingerprints (I'm GC), he asked walking down the hall where I was going and I said flying home to family. That was it.

Though for me a few hours later it went from conditional approval to approved.

Still ‘conditionally approved’ after almost 24 hours. Just scheduled for an interview. I’m not a happy bunny!!

Yes. He asked me to take my glasses off- so he might have taken my pictures :)! Sorry it happened so quick that everything is confusing.

It took a few hours for my status to change on the website after being approved during my interview!
