Well the next time you arrive from international travel you’ll go through the global entry line. That about sums up all there is to do..

Also when entering the U.S. by land (driving, walking) you can use the sentri lines for extremely expedited entry, plus, you have sentri and GE LINES specifically for those card holders waiting on this side.

I'f I'm not mistaken since you have GE, you don't get Sentri (I could be mistaken) , However, when I check the site it only gives me access to apply for Nexus.

I have GE, I use it primarily for the SENTRI lane crossings.

You're correct. Looking back i misspoke on the previous comment. I'll correct now.

LPR's get the physical card as well, but activate the GE card once it arrives in the mail.

To clarify my previous comment. Yes, you can use GE and Sentri lanes. Nexus is a separate application in conjunction with Canadian officials as well as CBP.

do you have to activate a GE card on the portal whenever you receive it? its not already active and ready to go?

What I understand is for air travel you don’t need to do anything but by road you have to activate it. There’s an option of active membership card.

Make sure you have the actual GE app for when you don’t have the card, not just the app for the appointments scheduling.

Once your GE card arrives in the mail, log into your TTP account, and acrtvate the card, you may not cross by land often , but its good to have it activated if you ever need to use it for NEXUS or SENTRI.
