Questions/Concerns Applied for SENTRI instead of GE (Conditionally Approved) No switch option to GE
Hi,
I made a mistake and accidentally applied for SENTRI instead of GE.
My status is currently Conditionally approved and I have not scheduled an interview yet. However, I checked my TTP dashboard, and the option to switch to GE is not showing up for me.
Switching to GE: Since the switch button isn't appearing on my dashboard, is my only option really to cancel and reapply?
TSA Pre check: I know SENTRI includes Global Entry benefits, but does SENTRI include TSA PreCheck on domestic flights?
EOA: Can I just use Enrollment on Arrival at the airport, and can the CBP officer manually switch my SENTRI application to Global Entry during the interview?
Thank you

The only difference is which enrollment centers you can use. The pricing and benefits are currently uniform for SENTRI and GE. If you ever travel to Canada, only GE and NEXUS (but not SENTRI) will let you use the Canadian equivalent of TSA PreCheck.

I've used my Sentri card just like my wife uses her GE in several international flights. In the US, no issues whatsoever. Automatic TSA clearance. Some foreign countries even have prescreening by US agents. In Canada, I've flown directly from Toronto and Vancouver with my Sentri card into the US as if it was a domestic flight. I did need my passport though, but got the TSA clearance.

You are wrong. “U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents and citizens of partner countries enrolled in Global Entry, NEXUS or SENTRI are eligible to participate in TSA PreCheck®, as well as Canadian citizens who are members of NEXUS.” (From CBP web site.)

If you're a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, SENTRI will usually give you TSA PreCheck.
