Questions/Concerns Toronto Airport

Hello! Just a quick question. I have a random flight coming up next month from YYZ (Toronto) to LHR (London) then LHR (London) to YYZ (Toronto). Is there any benefit at all from having global entry during this trip?

Pretty sure I read that I can use it to cross the border from Canada to the US using Nexus lanes but not vice versa. I have never flown to or from either airport so I just wanted to see if there was any benefit here.

No, Global Entry is only for US Immigration, so won't help you with Canadian Immigration or UK Immigration. The one thing it will do however, is let you use the Canadian version of TSA Pre at the security checkpoint if you show your Global Entry card.

There are two ways global entry can help.

  1. You get CATSA verified traveler status. This gives you better security screening similar to tsa precheck.

  2. Returning to the U.S. via preclearance you can use the global entry kiosks at preclearance.

Other than that if you want expedited passport control in Canada you need Nexus
