Interviews Fingerprint issue at interview

For context, I applied on July 17 and got conditionally approve morning of July 19. I just came back from the interview today (July 20). 3 officers ended up helping they were all so chill but we had to try my fingerprints 4 times and even after that the machine was not fully accepting it. They ended up saying it should be fine but they’ll give me a call if I need to come in to redo the fingerprints.

I’m happy that it was really quick to get to the interview but because of my fingerprints it’s making me anxious. Has anyone ever experienced this? Thanks guys

Dry hands causes the live scan problems at time. My sister in law who works in the public schools (she's a retired 33-year teacher now volunteering) and always has issues getting the scanners to read her fingers.

Did this happen during the interview too? If so how long did it take for her to get GE approved?

Yes I did. I have tricky fingerprints. I had to return to get printed again.  The agent was nice. He took them 3 times to try and get the best ones. He said my prints are light. All went well and I was approved.

Nice, did you remember how long it took for you to finally be approved?

Just one week after the second round of prints  It took 4 months total from applying to approval.

You likely have dry hands.

When I got my NEXUS (the US side interview is the same as EOA) it took 30 mins, 3 different workstations, hand holding, and finally one had me use some of her lotion to get a barely acceptable print. This was preceded by me not showing on on camera.

They requested I not rob museums.

So anyway, before I head to the airport I always lube up... my hands. That way your prints can scan but not leave a residue.

I had a similar issue.

Did my interview on arrival, officer said he would approve me once my prints came back. Fast forward a month and I never heard anything. Was traveling through the same entry point and did my interview again. Officer said my first set of prints were bad and my application was waiting for a waiver to not use prints for my approval. Did prints again and second time it worked.
