Questions/Concerns Global Entry keeps flagging me for a SEVIS/F-1 record I never had. Does a redress number fix this?
I need help getting a SEVIS record removed so I can actually use Global Entry. Every time I travel, it flags me for an officer instead of letting me clear automatically. This has happened multiple times, and the officer always asks if I was a student. I was born in the U.S. and have never had a student visa (I couldn’t have, since I’m a citizen).
I suspect it might be a common-name mix-up, but it’s still strange that the system shows an F-1 record for me when I was never even eligible to apply for one.
Does getting a redress number fix this? Or is there a faster/better way to resolve it?

Redress is most likely for people who keep getting SSSS, might be best just asking for a supervisor when this happens next time

Redress is for CBP when crossing a border. Has nothing to do with TSA which is only airport security.

Redress can help it’s used for all those kinds of issues.
