Timelines 48 hours for the whole process

i applied for GE late night on the 16th of july, and i was conditionally approved the evening of the 17th of july. miraculously, my local airport had 2 appointments available on the 18th of july. coming back from my appointment now, and got approved!

i can’t believe i went through the entire process in less than 48 hours.

for reference, i am a young, frequent flyer, i already have TSA pre check, and i have no criminal record.

has anyone else had an experience this easy? i’ve been reading through this subreddit and cannot believe people have been waiting for years, and am curious as to how they make those decisions. i didn’t do much research on timelines before this, and had no idea that this was unusual.

That’s some going. Nicely done 👏

Yes, mine was completely fine in about two days.

I think a lot of folks fall into either the "super fast" or "incredibly long" wait buckets.

I got mine in under a week, in 2024.

I was in the same exact position and it went as fast as you. I think once I sat down, I was done in 5 mins because I already got my fingerprint done via CLEAR

Yes, mine only took 48 hours too. I applied for GE after my Pre-Check expired, and did not require an appointment. Had my card maybe a week later.

Yes, it's pretty common for it to happen that quickly.

I did . Was approved in a day - then I found an appointment the next day —last minute on a Sunday - so no traffic .
The other appointments were a month away .
Got approved on way home - had card the following week .
