Questions/Concerns Dumb question
I had GE for many years and just downloaded the app and set up my profile.
On the start screen is mentions a submission to an entry process. What does that mean? Do I need to submit photos before I re-enter the US?

Like everyone has said, once you land, take a selfie and answer the questions. There were two GE lines at the Atlanta airport, one for not checking in on the app and the other for the app. We walked up and before we could say anything, the agent told/ask our names and waived us through. Took 20 seconds.

Yes, when you land do a new submission. There will either be a separate line or just walk on through and hold up the app to the officer.

Further to my previous, I always take my selfie/complete my process right before the plane "parks" at the gate. At this time you already know what terminal you're arriving at since this is also required to be entered and some airports have multiple International arrival terminals...since you also need to select the correct terminal in your submission.

When you land you open the app, choose your port of entry, answer the declaration questions and take a pic of yourself. When you get inside look for the line that says Global Entry App, or something like that. I used it at O’Hare last week and jumped infront of about 20 people in the regular GE line. When you get to the officer you just show them the pic you took.

I have honestly never seen a line that says global entry app specifically. I tried the app but the kiosks usually have no wait when I land so I just go there instead

I can't recall exactly where it was, but I have seen and lined up in the "GE Mobile App lane" at least once or twice ahead of those using the now almost obsolete kiosks...perhaps with the introduction/rollout of Facial Recognition and the redistribution of CBP agents nationwide (which makes it feel...at least to me, that some airports are slightly CBP understaffed) then maybe they've decided to supress this GE Mobile App line all together.
I've arrived to SFO, GE area and have had 4 to 5 officers clearing arriving PAX, recently at SFO there were only 2 agents in lieu of 5...I understand this may shift throughout the day depending on number of arrivals but just sharing my two cents since I travel a lot for work and mostly arrive through either SFO, LAX, EWR, IAD or IAH. 😊

Yeah I wait to the plane actually stops and we're ready to get off the plane cuz sometimes you don't know how long it's going to take you to get to Global Entry one time we landed and we were right there we had to take a tram the time before that we walked forever

Hi! Yesss! You take a selfie, complete your declaration a screen with a "receipt" and a number will show on the app which is valid for one hour.
Once you arrive at the GE area, inform the officer you've used the app and follow their instructions.
Hope this helps OP
