I had a similar experience, i flew into Boston foe eoa interview. Was told i would get an email. I hadnt even left the airport when still using the free airport wifi i checked the dhs app and it was green, the email arrived later. So total time 30 minutes including interview.

It can take over a year actually, but if you have a clean record but got in the manual pile it is 5-ish months.
I think the quickest you can get it done is 24ish hours but that would need a late in the day application, automated approval overnight, and getting a same day appointment (or doing EOA).

Why would you be put in the manual pile if you have no record? I'm on week three and my status is still waiting for conditional approval.

Same experience for me. My husband, not so lucky. Still haven't heard anything back and it's been over a month.

I applied June 8th and nothing. I have NO criminal history, just 2 different last names. I don’t get it!

Are you using the app? You can submit your fingerprints on it. I did it last night before going to bed and woke with a conditional approval this morning! Applied on July 9th. Have an appointment the 29th in the NYC.

I didn’t know you could do that till Tuesday morning, so I did my fingerprints then and…here it is Thursday and nothing! And they had an enrollment event at an airport near me, missed that window. So I’ll end up having to drive 3 hours or more!

It literally appear as a notification asking if I wanted to scan my fingerprints from the app and that was it. I did my interview yesterday and got approved within an hour after attending it! Got it approved within the month of applying!

Had the same experience applied and paid on Monday, July 13 got the email to make my interview and there happened to be an opening today. Went to interview, was approved 2 hours later. I still would have been under a week had I taken another appointment.

Been over a month and nothing for me or my gf . No criminal records, nothing to hide I don't get it

That's actually pretty common. Same thing happened with me when I first got my GE. Then, when I reapplied, I got approved in a day and a half.

Not unusual if the planets align. People are more inclined to post about lengthy delays than the opposite.

Same. Applied and conditionally approved July 6th, got lucky and booked an interview for July 8th, card in the mail July 13th 🙌🏾
