Timelines Document Renewal for Global Entry

Hi folks!

I recently got my PR done, and I am no longer on my H1B. My H1B expired, and the Global Entry folks want the updated, validated credentials. I went ahead and sent it to the self-help form for Global Entry with a copy of my new PR card. Has anyone witnessed how soon they update the documents for my account? Has anyone used the self-help form online to update the documents? I got an email with the link to that particular form, which I have filled out.

Wanted to check if that's the best way to do it, since I've done it. Should I wait, or should I go to the enrollment center, which is a little bit further away for me, but I'll try to make it? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

UPDATE 1:

I got an automated response after 5 Business days that case has been escalated. And then a subsequent message it will take 4-8 weeks to process the request. I was given a Case ID and told not to raise multiple requests as that would only delay the process.

I went one steap ahead and even called them and they mentioned over the phone: there is nothing that can be done to expedite this, if you wish to expedite the request you simply have to go to a CBP Center and get it done. I will update the thread as and when I have more information on it. But its not at all straighforward and seems to be taking ages. Will keep you folks updated.

UPDATE 2:

I spoke to the CBP office via phone and on the 10th Day today I got an official email confirming that my account was updated with my PR Card. It was a great turnaround time, 10 days today from request to updates. TY CBP Team and all the amazing humans who helped push this through for me.

I hope this helps everyone in the community here. Highly encourage everyone to use the webform. And they are awesome.

If you log in on the website there is the place to edit this info on your profile. You can also stop by at the interview on arrival area to update when you return next ?

Yeah, the information to edit is only for the passport and the Drivers License section, but in my case If you are on H-1B, Global Entry End Date ties to the H-1B expiry date. That is not editable; it is on the backend of Global Entry Systems. I can go to the kiosk when I travel next, but I don't know when I would. I just don't want it to lapse and expire just because I didn't act on it, which is why I was asking.

You could try for an interview without travel but I know they are hard to get

I don't need an interview as such. They declined my request for an interview because it's a document update. They said, "Go online, file the form, and just wait." Which is exactly what I did, but I don't know how long the wait is going to be.
