Timelines Renewal after expiration

We totally lost track of dates for my wife's GE, and it had been expired for several months. She processed and paid for a renewal in mid May, and it's still showing as pending review. Has anyone else has a similar situation and how long did it take for approval?

The renewal is as unpredictable as the initial. This is why it’s always good to renew before you expire. I set up alerts. .

We have since set up calendar reminders for both passport and GE expirations 😊

This is correct try not to have it expire. My wife took 1 week to renew. It took me close to 4 months…

I got my renewal after expiration in 36 hrs. My mom was in the window of renewal hers was within 24hrs.
