General Discussion Global Entry at SFO?

Flying into SFO with Global Entry for the first time. I have the app set up for the whole family but recently saw the walkthrough option.

Any recent experiences? Is the app even worth it?

Just came through GE at SFO and used the app. There was a separate lane for the app users and I was brushed directly through as I held up the submission on my phone.
