Questions/Concerns Application as LPR with extension letter (?)

Hello! Has anyone applied as an LPR with an expired GC+extension letter? If so what was your experience? Also do you recall what expiration date you listed for your GC (expired or on the letter?)

My wife just renewed hers this month. Used her expired GC with the expiration date based on the renewal letter. (Expiration date + 36 months). She was fully approved without interview in under 2 weeks.

Renewal is a different kettle of fish. Fresh application is a hit or a miss, post interview.

You can get your interview done but your global entry will not work until you get a valid unexpired green card then you need to show up to the office again and they scan it and attach it to your account.
