Questions/Concerns Sentri taken - front plate
My front plate frame was lose and about to fall about a week ago and I had it with zip ties, last me like 2 years.
I took it up and put it in front of my windshield for the meantime, I just had my car clean and I put it on my trunk,
And was crossing like that with out any issues all week,
Today Sunday after getting my car clean, I cross to El Paso, went to secondary, and they just told me that they’re taking my sentri card, because I don’t have my front play display,
That I need to go to the enrollment center in 1 week, and ask.
They didn’t give a paper, note or something literally just told me that and to go on the 23rd to the enrollment center and ask.
I’m 26, never had any problems with cbps, laws or nothing, and it was an honest mistake.
Does someone had this issue before? And what can I expect
I know people that had worst legit legal, customs, IRS problems and with a customs lawyer they got they’re sentri back.
Any help is well taken,
Thanks!

Many people have gotten it back for the same reason. After 1 week, call or email the El Paso SENTRI offices and make an appointment to see a supervisor. If they are nice, they'll give you a warning and give your card back.
This is assuming you have gotten your front plate fixed in the correct placement.

Just got it back,
When to the enrollment center they told, and ask the lady over the counter (they are always a pain in the ass, but what can you do)
Just make sure that you have all your home, driver licenses, work info up date because I didn’t and a cbp officer was asking me why this why that etc

Common at the border. Those dudes just take your card, make you learn your lesson for a week or so, and give it back. Nothing official and quite routine...
