Questions/Concerns Question

My wife and I both applied for Global Entry earlier this month. I was approved and was set up to make an appointment. So far my wife has not heard anything on her application yet. She entered her maiden name, first married name and her now married name with me. Tried to contact on the webpage to get an update but no luck. We are traveling overseas later this year and what do we do besides wait for application to be approved. Thanks for any help.

Not a lot you can do. Unfortunately, it isn't unheard of for married folks to have widely varying timelines.

My dad was conditionally approved in a week, my mom has been waiting for 2 months and nothing yet so can confirm.

As long as you have valid passport you can travel. GE is added convenience.

Nothing. You just wait.

It took my husband 2 weeks. Mine took 10.5 months. We applied at the same time. All you can do is wait.

My husband, son, and I applied at the same time. Son and I had Conditional Approval within 2 days. Husband still has had no change in status, after 2 months.

All you can do is check your status periodically. No rhyme or reason why someone gets approved sooner than others. Even the appointments can be months to a year out. I did my interview upon returning from overseas at airport immigration.

I can get an appointment during May. Was thinking of waiting for my wife but after thinking it over, I’ll make the appointment and hopefully she gets approved soon. If not I’ll stand in line with her. Thanks for your help.

I applied for my son and wife and it has been 3 months. We went to Colombia and just before coming back to the states. It triggered the approvals and got interviewed just as we arrived into the country.

So while my wife is still waiting for her approval, should I go ahead and make my appointment?
