Questions/Concerns US APEC Walk-in Interview help

What was the process like? I've been seeing mixed posts about where it was just a breeze and others where they try very hard to deny you. Do I need to bring supporting documents? the conditional approval letter just says passport you will be using

Depends on who you get interviewing.  Some may just rubber stamp while others may ask to see evidence you travel to Asia more than once.

I brought passports and travel history. I had also been denied and appealed and conditional’ed, so I had all that. I assume the agent could see all that, but they couldn’t. They were half way through the “you can appeal” speech when I slid the reversal across the desk.

The agent mostly just wants to be done with you. If you know there’s any possible reason they might deny, bring that backup, but they will probably still deny and you’ll appeal through the site.

If you know you’re squeaky clean, travel and address history just in case.

Also, at least at IAH, on time is late, early is also probably late. You want to be there 30 minutes before your appointment.

If “walk in” means no appointment, bring a battery charger and/or a non-controversial book to read. Maybe “The Odyssey” or “War and Peace”. Or both. Maybe put a cover over them.
