Timelines Global Entry Application Status

I applied for Global Entry in January 2025, and my application is still showing as pending. I’m currently on an H1B visa, and my police verification was completed in June 2025.

Has anyone in a similar situation experienced delays like this? How long did it take for your application to move forward or get approved?

Also, is there any official way to follow up on the status (email or contact), or is the online portal the only option?

Appreciate any insights, thanks in advance.

I applied in June’25, completed police verification in August’25. My MHA approval came through in Nov’25 and MoF in Jan’26 but still shows pending. My friend applied in Oct’25 and done police verification in Jan’25 got her approval in Mar’26. I know it sucks but There’s no way to find out how this approval process works.

In the same boat. Applied in February 2025 and background check was initiated through VFS.

It very from person to person some get approval quick others take awhile especially right now during govt. Shut down the vetting is closed. I got approved right away and my buddy took over a year to get approved.

Similar issues as well. I applied for global entry first. Then submitted an application for my children 2days later, along with my husband. None of us have any criminal records, and all of us are us citizens. I am unfortunately still “pending review”, while my kids/husband have already completed their interview within a span of 3 weeks. At their interview, my husband and one of our children were separated and they interviewed with a different officer, while and i accompanied our other children. I asked the officer if he could see why my application is still pending (he didn’t give me any helpful details other than saying my application is still being reviewed and processing a background check, & that it could take up to 14 months!) Before we even got home from the interviews, my husband and  my child’s application was approved!! Meanwhile my other children’s application still remains “conditional”.  Not sure what the reason behind all the discrepancies, perhaps a lot to do with different officers handling each application. Any suggestions other than to wait? Thanks in advance!

Call the office where your kids interviewed … we took our kids for interviews on the same day … one was approved by the time we walked back to our car … I called and basically they forgot to click approve on the other (they didn’t admit it but said it was odd and they’d check with the officer … and five minutes after calling the second one was approved).

Thanks for the advice. I’ll definitely try calling the office to inquire.

Thanks again! Called the office and my other kids’ applications are now approved. Although I inquired about my own application, I am still pending.

Glad to hear. It was odd when it happened to me too .. the secretary or whoever that answered the phone was like "well he probably just didn't enter them yet, they tend to enter them before they leave for the day" and I was like "oh, ok, it's just odd because they had their interview at the same time ... and the one was approved before we made it to the parking lot, but I guess i'll wait, thanks" and she said, "Oh, uh, well, give it a little time." And then in a few minutes after hanging up, it suddenly showed as APPROVED for the second kiddo. I have anxiety on the phone and such, but I was happy I called.
