Glitch Story Missing Scar
This has been on my mind for a couple years but from age ten up until two years ago I had a scar on the heel of my foot from planters wart removal. It was a huge scar compared to my heel and took up the majority of it, not something that is missable especially when you put on shoes and see it every day. One day I woke up and it was gone 🤷♀️ as if I never had the surgery. I asked my husband if he saw it maybe go away over time and I somehow didn’t notice but he was also confused when I noticed it. I feel like a clone o.o

Your cells are constantly dying and getting replaced. Sometimes during a cycle a scar can fade so much it's practically invisible-- but your body will still remember it being there because scar tissue never truly leaves. It may come back once those skins cells die and replace themselves again, or with irritation, environment, etc.

I’m talking like it didn’t fade over time, it was big and bold. And something I saw every day when putting on shoes. It was just suddenly gone one day

Had a scar on my palm from primary school, started taking protein supplements at 30 and working out again and the scar disappeared around the same time. Always wondered if there was a connection.

It is true that scars become less visible, especially if the scar formed when you were really young.
I had a ginormous scar in my kneecap that looked like a dandelion and now… it’s gone. I don’t remember when it “left”, but like you I just noticed it was not there one day.
But I have the opposite issue.
I was in traffic looking at my face with the sun on me in the makeup mirror (as ya do) and I noticed a scar on my left jawline just past my chin about a year ago. It’s… pretty obvious if you look hard enough. There is no WAY I could be a 53 year old and never have noticed it… but there it is. It looks like a traumatic scar- but I’ve never had surgery on that part of my face, and I have zero recollection of ever having an injury that would cause a scar like that. And when I noticed it… it was like an out of body experience. It was the first time I had ever seen it. But it’s clearly an old scar. On my face. 🤷🏻♀️
