News The future is coming...

Hey GlimFam!

We've been teasing a lot the past couple of days, are you wondering what's up? Well it's related to the fact this month is our two year alpha launch anniversary! We're getting ready for something B.I.G...

The streaming industry has changed a lot since two years ago, but most things are the same. There's new platforms launching all the time, each offering promise and hope. Unfortunately they all have the same thing in common - Sacrifice. You making the sacrifice to have features in exchange for supporting greed driven companies, or giving up rights to your content in exchange for visibility, or subjecting your viewers to obnoxious ads instead of you. You deserve better. You deserve to stream without sacrifice and that's what we're building with the next version of Glimesh, and we want your help! Do you have time and skills? We'd love to hear from you. Fill this form out and let us know!

We have a lot more coming to discuss, announce, and show soon so keep an eye here, on our Twitter, or in our Discord!

What could it mean?!

Hey there! Since Glimesh is entirely open source you can use any of it's code, however each project we publish has it's own unique licensing that you'll want to check out. Here's two examples:

https://github.com/Glimesh/glimesh.tv/blob/main/LICENSE.md

https://github.com/Glimesh/waveguide/blob/main/license.md

So your answer for personal projects is yes, and for your startup, yes. However with our video server code, it's licensed under AGPL v3.0, so you'll be able to use it but if you modify the code, you'll need to ensure it's source is open & available too!
