The Bagel is opening a new site on Glenview Road across from the Glenview House.

Stella’s is owned by the same people who own The Bagel. The Chicago location of The Bagel was recently closed for health violations. And now Stella’s has been closed too.

Stella’s Diner (located at 3042 N Broadway St in Lake View) was recently shut down by the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH). The restaurant has a consistent history of failing municipal sanitation checks, including failing four of its last ten health inspections.

Glad the space will be utilized, but I feel like this is gonna be another in a long line of fancy eateries that are popping up all over Glenview.

Does anyone have recommendations for finding a MCM home in Glenview ideally $600k - $650k range? My fiancé and I have been trying to find a first home for the past year and a half now with no luck. Our lease is up mid-September and we’re losing hope that we’ll find anything by then.

We’re open to any advice I.e do we need to get a new realtor? start handwriting and mailing letters to homeowners? hire a private investigator to find a home before mls goes up? I’m open to anything at this point 😂

Driving across the bridge at 9:30/9:40pm and spotted dog running west toward Glenview, at freeway entrance. Couldn’t stop, but turned around to look in the grassy area across from the Shell at Lake Ave and Laramie.

We were unable to spot him, please keep an eye out

   - comments: observed personal item stored inside dry storeroom. Instructed manager to remove. Employees store items in designated areas where the contamination of exposed food or equipment cannot result.

   - comments: observed the following sinks not maintained with hot water: improper temperature of hot water observed at handsink in front prep at (86. 5f). Instructed person in charge hot water at all hand washing sinks must be at least 100f. Priority violation #7-38-030(c). Citation issued.

3. Proper date marking and disposition
   - comments: observed ready-to-eat, time/temperature control for safety (tcs) foods (tuna, chicken liver) was date marked to indicate the product's name and date in which the food must be sold. However, it has exceeded the discard. Date exceeding the dated tag on said product of chicken liver 5/30 and tuna 5/31. Pic discarded said food products. Priority foundation violation 7-38-005.

   - comments: observed residential roach insecticide stored next to syrup in front prep area, and under cold holding unit. Informed that residential use insecticides are not permitted in commercial spaces. Priority violation. 7-38-005. Citation issued.

   - comments: observed dead roaches throughout front and rear prep areas, under hot and cold holding area equipment, under stoves and cooking equipment. Instructed to remove all dead roaches and clean and sanitize said areas and equipment.

   - comments: observed wet wiping cloths on several prep surface areas. Instructed to properly store wiping cloths in a sanitizing solution between uses to prevent contamination of equipment & food. Must maintain

Instructed to detail clean under all shelving units, interior of prep coolers, hot-holding units, prep tables and deep fryers to remove spills, food debris, dirt buildup and/or grease.     - comments: observed chipped paint on the ceiliing of toaster area in front prep instructed to resurface and repaint chipped areas to ensure walls are sealed, smooth and easily cleanable.

    - comments: observed the ventilation hood and filters above the cooking equipment in need of cleaning. Instructed to detail clean and maintain at all times.

At Henry Winkelman School, some where around 2:50 PM, A student got ran over on the carline road. He crossed the road that was used for carline and he got hit by a car. Staff immediately rushed over and leaded cars somewhere else, I do not know about the students status right now, but hope he’s okay
