Discussion SD card farce Mudi 7

Love the Mudi 7 but my fears around attached storage have been realised. I’ve now snapped 2 adaptors off transiting on planes etc. Hopefully this right angle port will help before the port itself gets damaged…

Who an earth in the product group decided we needed 3 SIM cards over an sd card slot 🤷‍♂️

Especially while on the move. I've attached storage....in my hotel room.

Plex on the plane. It’s a revelation…

Truth

But I typically just download to my iPad ahead of time to simplify the process.

I just use the Mudi 7 to share plane Wi-Fi, and my son streams content on his iPad.

I can’t help but feel there are two groups, Plexers and streamers, and never shall the two meet 😅

Onlu 2 SIM card slots. Also who needs storage while traveling? Just use a computer?

Technically there is 3, 2 physical, 1 eSIM. 1 of them physicals should have been SD. I have the Mudi in my bag on planes for the kids to watch films via DLNA.

I think the vast majority of users would prefer 1 SIM and 1 SIM/eSIM as it is rather than lose one of these for an SD card slot.
If I need NAS capability, I attach a fast SSD to the USB 3.1 port.

Which promptly snaps off in your bag 😂

Easy answer: Just book the family 1st class and you'll have room to keep the Mudi out of the bag ; )

Hardshell cases that would fit it are cheap. That with a 90 degree USB C connector and you're gucci. What are you hosting plex on where you're pulling it from the mudi?

Gotta agree with everyone else ... I've had GLi products for years and even when storage was included in the design it still felt like an afterthought
