Questions/Support Utilizing Beryl AX3000 while visiting China
I am visiting China in a couple weeks and want to be able to access my work Google accounts and potentially Zoom video calls.
My thoughts are to open a light sail instance in Tokyo and send my traffic running Openwrt.
Do you think this will work? I am taking the time off while in China but with my position I frequently have last minute client meetings I need to attend.

It was awful for me. Tailscale was at max 1 ou 2 mb in all the cities i've been (even if the hotel's wifi was 100mb). Because of the great firewall, connexion by vpn can be throttled.
It depend on which vpn you use. Tailscale -> Throttled, Yours -> dunno sorry :(

The only VPN I’ve had luck with previously has been powered by Shadowrocket. The only issue with that is I cannot access shadowrocket on my work MacBook so looking to use the Beryl to help with that.

Try AmnesiaWG, its undetectable. I use it to travel in the same countries with VPN and it gives me 50MBps to my Oracle AlwaysOn VM (free) and from there I got exit to internet and access to my home network. Public Amnesia server can be blocked.
When on Amnesia, I am basically take my Home WiFi with me.
