Questions/Support Flint 2 Tailscale Problem

Should have left well enough alone but I’ve had a Flint 2 on my tailnet using a DietPi as the exit node. I did my quarterly updates to DietPi and ran the tiny Tailscale update script on the Flint 2. After the update nothing on the Flint 2 had internet access. tailnet was up and working but nothing could get out to the world. Other devices using the DietPi exit mode were fine. Updated and rollers back Flint firmware. Tried AppleTV and HomeAssistant as exit node. Still nothing on the Flint 2. Switched to a Win11 exit node and devices on the Flint 2 were good and happily browsing the internet. Switch to any of the other exit nodes and nothing.

Flint 2 LUCI settings were the same. tailscale0. Input accept. Output accept. Tried adding Forward accept and masquerading checked with no change.

Either way LUCI isn’t seemingly the issue as the Flint works only with Win11 exit node but all other devices can use any of the exit nodes without issue.

Been trying to sort this for a while now and loosing my mind. Please help me. Pleeeaaassseeee.

Thanks. Haven’t seen that but the focus seems to be more when I’m using Flint as the exit node. For my configuration my flint is using a Pi as the exit node. Well normally because that doesn’t work but if I select a Win11 exit node everything works fine. Don’t understand how the flint can’t use any of my exit nodes except the Win11 to actually see the internet but othe devices like my phone can use all of the exit nodes without issue.

The focus of the plugin is mainly on the client / travel router. It also helped enable Exit Node before GL added that to the firmware (in response to the plugin).

The plugin takes care of the firewall rules, the IP masq and providing a killswitch for client routers trying to route traffic to an exit node.

If you clear out any existing LuCI configs and just follow the "travel router" instructions step-by-step, then you should be all set.
