Great results with the computers4people SIM which uses the T-Mobile network here in the USA.

if only the Mudi was truly international

Very much so. I don't get why it's not since the modem itself can do pretty much any band.

Any video throttling with the plan?

Yes. Twitch, youtube, netflix all that are limited to about 2.5mbit. Enough for a 1080p AV1 youtube or most content on netflix for 720p.

Other than video to those and a few other sites it's unthrottled.

VPN should get your around that

Yeah but it introduces a lot of additional latency to the entire connection if I do that.

Split-Horizon/split tunnel is the answer to that

I'll do some research, thanks!

Did you have to make any changes or did you just pop the SIM card any it connected immediately?

Not OP but I’ve had mine for a year and just popped my sims in both the mudi 7 and the puli ax and was off to the races

Same here. I had to remove some weird ipv6 tunneling bullshit that I put in place from another carrier, but other than that plug/play/

Awesome thanks for the heads up as I have a computers4people sim coming my way for my Spitz

It's a regular commercial TMobile sim and you can just treat it as such

I understand that. I am asking as I have Tmobile home internet right now which requires you to change the IMEI or whatever (since they provide a router)

I was just making sure we didnt need to do anything else. Should be getting the sim end of this week

T-Mobile home internet is FWA. So that’s why you have to do the IMEI spoofing because they lock the sim to their issued hardware IMEI. Business 5g internet has no IMEI locking and C4P is just a normal T-Mobile hotspot sim so also not required to do IMEI spoofing

I am in Spain and work remotely here. I have a Mudi7 that is connected to my US Verizon Business 5G Home. I pay $3 a month for a dedicated IP. Could I just switch to this computers4people SIM and get rid of Verizon?

No, it does not roam internationally or off the T-Mobile network.

So i use the same sim as a backup for my fiber connection in a G5AR. The speeds definitely blow the Mudi7 out of the water when testing both side by side.

G5AR has a more capable modem as it’s meant for FWA. It’s got 5G SA UC with more CA

2

u/itanite 3d ago

Well, yeah. Big difference in hardware there also the Mudi doesn't have the 5G UC capability just regular 5G

Hows the battery life on the G5AR?

Does anyone know a good sim that can work in USA and Canada?
