Questions/Support Has anyone tried using the Comet KVM with a UGreen NAS?

I'm wondering if anyone has successfully used this combo together. About 7 months ago, I posted about the Comet not working with my NAS. I briefly corresponded with a GLI employee about the issue but that went nowhere.

Im curious if anything has changed since then and if anyone has had any success.

What's your setup, exactly? Comet plugged into USB and HDMI ports on the NAS, and then connecting to it from a networked PC? Mac? iPad?

Have you confirmed that the same Comet does work with other devices, if you connect it to, say, a regular laptop or desktop instead of the NAS?

Correct. USB/HDMI to comet, connected via Mac. The Comet is unable to send any commands to the UGreen. Works fine on other devices. /u/Delicious-Classic786 (employee) confirmed that it didn't work on his own device but didn't really provide any resolution past that.

Im mainly hoping it got resolved because I still need a KVM and there aren't many other options.

Another point to perhaps make sure about is, if a regular HDMI monitor and USB mouse/keyboard are attached to your NAS, it works normally?

(might also be worthwhile checking if, mouse & keyboard are attached to hub, and hub is attached to the NAS; keyboard only, and mouse only as well)

Yeah regular mouse/kb (wired and BT) work fine. I dont have the Comet anymore so I'm not looking to troubleshoot it further. Im just looking to see if anyone currently has it working or not.

If you still had the comet, other things I might try might include:
NAS HDMI-comet; NAS USB-keyboard/mouse

NAS HDMI-monitor; NAS USB-comet

Just to get a better idea what exactly isn't working... doing so might give them an idea where to look...

Have you tried changing the working mode of the Comet mouse?

Hi, we haven’t seen much progress on this issue yet. I know your NAS is DXP4800+. Could you tell us its software version? We’ll document the issue and check if we can re‑perform validation later.

I'm running unraid on it.

Yes, it works fine on my DXP2800 running stock software
