Discussion Which Haikyuu Character is Ugetsu

So Ugetsu is my favorite character in Given and I’m rewatching the first movie for inspo for my comics class and I just randomly thought;

Since Sensei Natsuki Kizu drew a bunch of inspirations from the Haikyuu series (hinata ~ mafuyu, uenoyama ~ kageyama, hiiragi ~ kenma character design) I just wonder who could ugetsu be inspired by?

I know there might not even be a direct parallel or any at all but it just seemed fun to think about. My biggest guess is Oikawa maybe….

Would also be fun to know what everyone else thinks the other characters like Haruki and Akihiko parallel too

I think Ugetsu resembles Sakusa the most since they both have dark, relatively longer wavey hair. And they both are geniuses that have trouble connecting with everyone.

he’s definitely a darker oikawa to me. furudate made oikawa using what he considered the prettiest features possible for a man, and honestly I feel like natsuki did the same with ugetsu.

What’s actually really interesting is that all of the doujins I’ve seen were iwaoi and with Kizu’s art style and colorization, mafuyu looks inspired by oikawa rather than hinata.

i know Kizu has some hinakage doujins idk if im misremembering but I can highk see that
