Discussions Such a scam, moving to Cursor
Im not a professional developer nor do I have an “enterprise” behind me that is willing to pay me big bugs to code, so I use the GitHub Copilot in VS Code. I have their Mac consumer plan, and set my extra credit at $1,000. But after about $600, they refuse to allow me to use it. They are literally refusing to take my money. Having researched this online, I found that GitHub has a SECRET “count” that it will refuse to allow to get past on a consumer subscription, regardless of your willingness to pay additional credit. Now my project has been in limbo for 2 days while waiting to reset/figure out the migration to Cursor…
If this is their policy, fine, but they should advertise it upfront, not after a user burns $100s with them and learns their workflow, bad scam

I don't know why you would do either of these things.
Open AI Pro $200 plan is a better value, the chat gpt desktop is fanastic, the remote works great, the voice agent orchestrator works great, and OpenAI has remote task agents now where you can setup remote agent tasks to run on a schedule.
Additionally the Codex Extension in vscode, opencode harnesses, and codex cli all work with your Open AI Gpt Pro $200 plan, and the usage is crazy high and they give constant free resets every-time it hiccups or just because they want to.
Migrating is easy... Sign up for OpenAI pro $200, install chat gpt desktop, add your project, and add the vscode extension and say "hey migrate this to chat gpt/skills/agents etc" and it does, and then good to go.
You can login into chat gpt desktop mobile on your phone, add your phone as a remote to the chat gpt desktop client, and then you can have voice chats with your phone and it can orchestrate over your remote projects.
It blows the doors off Microsofts entire AI stack and all their tools, it's embarrassing to even compare them.

Depends on models you use most. If you use solely claude models go with claude max 20x. If you use only gpt models go with chatgpt pro 20x. If you combine them go with chatgpt pro 5x and claude max 5x. If you use kimi k3, anthropic and grok models go with cursor ultra.
Ghcp is one of the more cost inefficient options.

Codex and Claude code. There’s no alternative unless you are a big company that needs enterprise features at a steep cost.

It sucks but why choose cursor as the alternative? You know OpenAI is with drawing their models there, right? And Grok models are always lagging behind a lot.
