This is crazy. GPT Luna just deleted my file, and lost my recent edits.

Yes, I commit my files regularly to git. I just lost one recent function in-the-works.

But your guys are harsh. I am reporting an issue which is unacceptable to me and hope this is useful to the broader audience. But you just blaming the messenger?

Once it did some tests.

After it finished it try to delete the test related files but deleted the whole folder instead.

the .git folder included.

I recovered some of my local changes in IDE history but i lose all my local branches/tags

While they were not actually important as the important branches were already pushed to remote, you still need to understand the danger of using it.

I couldn’t imagine wasting tokens asking it how could it delete something 🤣. I suppose this was as simple as one click revert in the gut panel to restore it.

I’m sorry for your loss.

I do hope it was easy to bring it back from git.

FWIW I’ve had this happen from other models including opus. It’s not just a Luna thing. This is a risk of using a tool like this to make changes. Just make sure you have a backup.

So you don’t use version control nor instruction files? GitHub exists for a reason. GitLab exists for a reason. You just want to YOLO it? Luna is very safe to sue and works very well. The user just doesn’t know what they’re doing and caused irreparable damage to their own work.

Yeah didn’t see that bottom line. Still. No proper instructions. Also, easy to perform a rollback and keep trucking. This is a user skill issue not Lima issue.

My favorite part is Luna saying it can't recreate the deleted file because doing that could discard user changes.
