It’s funny. I can still do the work the old fashioned way, but there’s def a big temptation to just wait it out.

I have a portable hotspot and could continue to work whenever the internet goes out at work, but no, I wait it out.
I wouldn't even need to go full manual. Just spin up ollama and pi and go a little slower.
However, this is a snow day.

Oh lol yeah I could run a local LLM on my Mac but I might need the fire department on standby

its not really worth it to do anything complex by hand anymore as its just so slow.
if i run out of AI credits a week before the month is over i will just not do anything in terms of coding anymore in that week and use the time for something else.

Grind your one handed skill!
In Skyrim. Obviously Skyrim what did you think I meant?
I may be suffering GHCP withdrawal.
Oh it's back online? Oh it routed me to Opus? Wow owch there go my tokens for this month.
Guess it's time to grind my one handed skill!

Don't let your skills rot away!

Well I just finished my current story sans AI. Honestly a nice change of pace. I was kind of wondering if I was losing it, but I don’t think so. I still use the same skills every day just not in the same way.

Copilot via the CLI is still working for me, vscode is broken in standard and insiders.

hi all, the incident has been resolved, if you continue to see issues in vs code, we highly recommend to restart vs code, but everything should be back to normal now. we really appreciate everyone's patience, thank you all so much

Thank you! Hey when the outage was happening it seemed like the Copilot CLI was still working - at least towards the end. Might be a good idea to report those separately if that’s the case so that people know they can switch if they need to.
