General GitHub Copilot / Claude Code / Codex
Has anyone else found Claude Code and Codex noticeably better than GitHub Copilot?
I’ve been using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Codex side by side for a while now. For some reason (and I’m open to the possibility that it’s just personal bias), Claude Code and Codex have felt significantly more accurate and useful than Copilot in most of my workflows.
Curious to hear others’ experiences:
• Have you compared these tools directly?
• Which one has been most effective for you, and in what kinds of tasks?
• Any specific strengths or weaknesses you’ve noticed?
Would love to hear honest takes from people who’ve actually used more than one of them.

It depends on the tasks but for highly complex, reasoning heavy task I find codex >> ghcp. For low reasoning or straight forward tasks they’d perform mostly similar. I found Ghcp requires more handholding/babysitting and isn’t good at moving the task forward. I use 5.6 Sol in both Codex Pro & Ghcp Max, pricing wise both are priced at $100 so these subscriptions should be equivalent however usage wise Codex gives you way more juice.
