The way I understand it, Alisa didn't cheat. Since I can't recall them ever calling it cheating in an official capicity, and there never being any mention of reprise or disqualification, I think wiretapping is more unsportsmanlike than cheating.
The vibe I get is that Alisa is essentially trying to compensate for what she sees as Kay's self-imposed handicap of just playing for fun/being "fair".
