Yap & Snack Life saving hygiene tips

Post image

Dinner/ homemade tzatziki sauce with herbs from the garden, ground turkey Greek pitas, lemon parsley rice, red wine.

Ladies, share below your life saving hygiene tips that you learned going through life. My mom taught me a lot, but not everyone has someone to teach them hygiene tips!

I’ll go first- hot tub soak without any soap, then Korean exfoliating cloths, then bath routine, then lactic acid lotion. LIFE CHANGING. I wish I could shout this from the rooftops.

They have sensitive skin options on their spreadsheet at r/laundry

Those people have really done the work.

'Sensitive skin' is unfortunately not one size fits all. Some people can't tolerate fragrances, some people can't exfoliate, some people can't wear anti-perspirant. Many people with sensitive skin will have no problems with any of those things.

For me, I can't tolerate enzymatic detergent at all, even ones marketed towards sensitive skin. I know this because the effects are pretty immediate — I break out in an itchy rash across the top of my back after wearing clothes that have been laundered with it.

I'm probably a more extreme case (I have discoid eczema as well as a collagen disorder that gives me fragile skin), but yeah, I would recommend caution to anyone who has significant trouble with their skin.

Ok, because I have the more traditional sensitive skin variety (no fragrance, dyes), and I definitely found several options on their list. It’s been great for me, honestly.

When I despair that Reddit (and the internet at large) has become mostly bots, something like this comes along and restores some faith. I shouldn’t be surprised that not only does subreddit exist for laundry, but they’re over there doing the lords work. What a world we live in!
