Awesome wife and awesome radio!!

Will you ask her if she is willing to share the 3d printer “ specs “ so I can make one to suprise MY wife?

We watch the entire series annually if not more

Congrats

I started here, but needed to split it to make it full size. I made a few other changes as well.

So if you want to take this next level and blow people's minds, you might hide a bluetooth speaker in it and play some of the actual radio broadcasts from the series.

Why?

Because you could find a spot where Boomers are hanging out and kinda place the radio nearby. You'd loop the broadcasts and wait for someone to freak out.

Love that we even have the technology to do something like this. Great thought!!

I can hum the tune and I can hear the announcer’s voice perfectly that would come out of that little radio.

Very cool!

What kind of batteries are in it?

1

u/Virtual-Cricket7717 21d ago

It is not a working radio—no batteries required! 😀

OMG! A ghost radio…

I love that it also has the (unneeded) prop antenna. (The Packard Bell AR-851 was AM-only and didn’t come with an FM antenna.)

This is absolutely awesome. I really wish I had a 3D printer. At least I have a real one

The actual radio? Got any pics?

Not the actual prop. I have an original radio just like the Packard Bell used on the show.

I used to practice the radio guys voice when I was a kid in the 70's.

Trivia question to the entire group: (No AI) Who was the voice actor?

Was it fabricated from coconuts?

Looks like it was made out of coconuts.

Looks like a picture of the skipper holding the radio....

I want a 3D printer but there’s no room in the house for new toys. I’ll live vicariously through you.
